Manama: The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) celebrated India’s 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on Friday, August 15, 2025.
The event was held at the Isa Town Campus in the presence of ISB Honorary Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Assistant Secretary & Hon. Member-Academics Ranjini Mohan, Hon. EC Member- Projects & Maintenance Mithun Mohan, Hon. EC Member-Transport Mohammed Nayaz Ullah, Junior Campus Principal Pamela Xavier, as well as parents and staff from both campuses.

The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the Indian national flag by Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, followed by the singing of the national anthem. In his presidential address, Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese highlighted the goal of fostering a strong sense of national pride and duty among students through such celebrations, striving for a brighter future for the next generation. ” this year holds special significance for us at the ISB as we celebrate our Platinum Jubilee—75 glorious years of academic excellence, cultural diversity, and community service. From the school’s humble beginnings in 1950 to becoming one of the largest co-educational institutions in the Arabian Gulf, our journey mirrors the growth of our great nation: rooted in tradition, yet forward-looking and innovative” he said.
The event was a resounding success, reflecting The Indian School’s commitment to quality education and its dedication to instilling the values of patriotism and unity.
