Manama : Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, received Fatima Al Majid, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Youth City 2030 Authority.
Tawfiqi highlighted the ministry’s commitment to supporting young people by equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge, fostering their capabilities and innovations through modern programmes designed to meet the demands of the labour market.
She noted that in the upcoming phase, the ministry will launch additional initiatives and programmes aimed at Bahraini youth.
The Minister further highlighted that since its establishment by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Youth City 2030 has offered a distinctive training and educational experience designed to equip young talents with the skills needed to meet labour market demands. The initiative has fostered innovation and empowered youth to turn their ideas into reality.
Tawfiqi also commended the outcomes of Youth City 2030 over the past thirteen editions, which have produced successive generations of Bahraini youth equipped with the necessary expertise and skills to succeed in the job market, establish small and medium-sized enterprises, and achieve notable successes.
She emphasised the importance of continuing the work of the Youth City 2030 Authority to preserve the achievements of the city and build on them in future editions.
On her part, Al Majid, speaking on behalf of the board, thanked the minister for her trust and for officially establishing the authority.
She underscored the board’s commitment to achieving the authority’s objectives by enhancing the role of Youth City 2030 in providing innovative training opportunities for Bahraini youth, equipping them with essential skills, and developing the city’s training programmes in line with the labour market’s demands.
