Manama : Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, emphasised the significance of International Youth Day as an annual occasion to reflect on Bahrain’s remarkable achievements in youth development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the continuous support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Minister Tawfiqi praised the strategy of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of SCYS, which focuses on supporting youth and enhancing their contributions to national progress. She highlighted the efforts to provide young people with the necessary resources to fulfill their responsibilities in boosting Bahrain’s development.
In her statement on the International Youth Day, celebrated under the theme “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development,” Minister Tawfiqi extended her heartfelt congratulations to the youth of Bahrain. She acknowledged the international recognition of youth’s vital role in building and advancing societies.
The minister noted that Bahrain has made significant progress in empowering young people and reinforcing their essential role in various sectors, viewing them as future leaders and the Kingdom’s hope for a prosperous and sustainable future.
Minister Tawfiqi said International Youth Day serves as a crucial motivation for youth to work towards a promising future, safeguarding Bahrain’s achievements and striving for further successes in all fields.
She added that Bahraini youth have consistently demonstrated a strong sense of national responsibility, driven by a clear vision and determination to contribute to the ongoing development of the Kingdom.
