The event will take place on November 2, 2024, at Adhari Park, Manama, Bahrain, bringing together over 5,000 students from all schools to participate in this record-breaking educational competition.
HE Dr Maryam Al Dhaen, Member of Parliament, Kingdom of Bahrain, shared her
insights on the importance of assessing competencies through competition, “We can
assess competencies at different levels of competitions. We can identify various levels
and groups of students. Competition actually shows and highlights the level of the
students and their abilities…… As parliamentarian, I would always try to push education
because this is our future”.
Mr Yusuf Yaqoob Lori, Director of Information & Follow-Up, Kingdom of Bahrain,
noted, “Seeing an event of this caliber in Bahrain shows the direction we are headed. The
international Olympiads demonstrate the country’s commitment to education and how

Event Details
Participants from grades 6 to 12 will compete in five subject-specific Olympiads,
categorized into three groups:
- Category One: Classes 6 and 7
- Category Two: Classes 8 and 9
- Category Three: Classes 10 to 12
The competition includes:
- International English Olympiad: Enhances language proficiency through
comprehension and communication tests. - International Mathematics Olympiad: Tests mathematical reasoning in algebra,
geometry, calculus, and probability. - International Science Olympiad: Explores subjects like physics, chemistry, biology,
and environmental science. - International Social Science Olympiad: Focuses on history, geography, political
science, and economics. - International General Knowledge Olympiad: Sharpens awareness of current
events, history, and global affairs.
