Abu Dhabi : The United Arab Emirates has allocated USD 10 million to boost community resilience to natural disasters across Asia and the Pacific.
Launched through the UAE Aid Agency, the initiative will support Emirates Nature-WWF, which will work alongside World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to implement the “Community Resilience to Nature Disasters Program”.
The first phase will target the Philippines, Indonesia, Fiji, and the Solomon Islands, focusing on restoring natural protective systems, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and enhancing community preparedness with early warning systems.
The programme reflects the UAE’s vision of proactive disaster management, empowering communities to adapt, recover, and protect both lives and nature.
