Manama : The Embassy of India organised open house on April 04, 2025 chaired by Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Vinod Kurian Jacob. The Embassy’s community welfare and consular team as well as panel of lawyers were also present. More than 30 Indian nationals participated in the Open House conducted in English, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali and Malayalam languages.
Ambassador began the Open House by extending Eid al-Fitr greetings to the community members present. He expressed his gratitude to H.M. the King, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as the Bahraini authorities, for the release of 68 Indian prisoners through the recent Royal pardon. Ambassador also mentioned that w.e.f April 01, 2025 the Passport, Visa and other Consular services fees have been revised. The details of the updated fees are available on Mission’s website.
Most of the cases raised during the last open house have been resolved. A cancer patient requiring immediate medical treatment was facilitated in her travel arrangements and also in expediting the issuance of her son’s passport which ensured her prompt and smooth departure to obtain necessary treatment without delay. In a separate case, Mission also intervened with the local hospital authorities in facilitating the treatment of an infant
It was an informative interactive session. Ambassador thanked all the Indian associations and volunteers, as well as Embassy’s panel lawyers for attending the open house.
