The award comes within HH Shaikha Noora’s keenness to continue the advancement of Bahraini endurance sports, which has witnessed remarkable prosperity and growth in the recent period after a series of foreign achievements.
Rider Mohammed Khalid Al Ruwaie from Team Victorious won first place with the horse Easter Hippolyte after he finished the race in good health and met the award criteria.

Team Victorious was crowned by Mr Ghalib Al Alawi, Secretary of BREEF, and Mr Tawfiq Al Salehi, Director of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Media Office and Information Centre, and Head of the Media, Marketing and Public Relations Committee at BREEF.
Mr Al Ruwaie expressed his delight to receive the Best Horse Condition Award, praising the support of Al Fursan Team Captain HH Shaikha Noora bint Hamad Al Khalifa, in organising the award, which is of great importance to the riders and stables, especially since they are completely keen to finish the race in the best possible way. He further commended on the efforts of the technical and administrative staff of Team Victorious, wishing the team continued success.
The competition for the best horse condition was based on several criteria, including measuring the heart rate, evaluating the trot in the first hour of the arrival of the horse that wins first place and the other positions that follow it, measuring the rate of dehydration and bowel movement, and the time required for cooling. Any horse that does not meet the required health standards is excluded after it has rested for an hour.
