Manama : The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has announced its support for wage increases for 35 Bahraini employees at Maskati Bros & Co through the Wage Increment Programme, alongside assisting five employees in securing leadership and managerial positions as part of the Leadership Employment Programme.
This initiative aims to empower local talent and enhance their career progression within private-sector enterprises.
The company will also benefit from Tamkeen’s financing support, in collaboration with local banks, to implement its expansion and growth plans, including efforts to double its production capacity.
This support aligns with Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for 2025, which focus on strengthening the position and competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, equipping them with the necessary skills for career advancement, and prioritising enterprise growth, digitisation, and sustainability. Additionally, Tamkeen aims to support the development of the ecosystem surrounding the labour market and the private sector.
Khalid Al Bayat, Chief Growth Officer at Tamkeen, emphasised Tamkeen’s commitment to enhancing the career development of Bahraini talent in the private sector by supporting wage increments and facilitating progression into leadership roles. He highlighted the importance of partnerships with private sector enterprises that recognise the role of national talent in boosting productivity and growth. He noted that Tamkeen’s support for Maskati Bros & Co is part of this initiative, benefiting 40 Bahraini employees and advancing shared objectives.
