The event showcased the experiences of several Bahraini enterprises that have achieved growth and expansion.
The event came as part of the cooperation between the SME Development Board – which includes Tamkeen, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Bahrain Economic Development Board, and the Bahrain Development Bank – and the “StartUp Bahrain” initiative.
The programme featured a panel discussion with a distinguished group of investors, entrepreneurs, and experts from various economic sectors, addressing key investor priorities, funding, and growth prospects. Participants included Luca Barbi, Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Saudi Technology Ventures (STV), Karim Abadir, Investing Partner at BECO Capital, and Walid Mansour, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at MEVP.
The event also highlighted several outstanding Bahraini enterprises, followed by a discussion with their founders Eat App, Flooss, Lola, and Remote Apps who shared insights into their growth and expansion in local and regional markets.
Held as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025, an initiative of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), the event was among a series of activities showcasing global developments in entrepreneurship and hosting a selection of experts and pioneering entrepreneurs.
Tamkeen is committed to celebrating this event annually, in line with its efforts to support innovation and strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Kingdom through dedicated initiatives and support programmes that help entrepreneurs develop and expand their enterprises, enhance their knowledge and entrepreneurial skills, and secure funding to achieve success.
This aligns with Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for 2025, which focus on enhancing the competitiveness of Bahraini nationals in the private sector, equipping them with the skills necessary for career development, and prioritising enterprise growth, digitalisation, and sustainability.
