Manama : The Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs has urged all pilgrims to strictly adhere to the instructions issued by Bahrain’s Hajj Mission and the authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to ensure the safe and smooth performance of the rituals.
The Committee highlighted the importance of pilgrims carrying their vaccination booklets, along with necessary medication for chronic conditions such as hypertension or diabetes, to safeguard their health during the pilgrimage. Pilgrims are also advised to carry their ID cards and the “Nusuk” smart card while moving between the holy sites.
The Committee noted that the “Nusuk” card is a key tool in facilitating pilgrim movement and expediting service procedures, especially in emergencies or in the event a pilgrim goes missing. The card confirms the pilgrim’s legal status and entitlement to perform the rites, enabling the concerned authorities to deliver services more efficiently and in a well-organised manner.
The Committee also underlined the necessity of registering on official applications endorsed by Saudi authorities, such as “Tawakkalna” and “Nusuk,” in line with the requirements for this year’s Hajj season.
Additionally, the Committee emphasised the importance of pilgrims travelling exclusively with their registered Hajj campaign, as this contributes to the organisation of transport and the delivery of services.
The Committee called on all pilgrims to promptly contact their campaign officials and Bahrain’s Hajj Mission in the event of any health or organisational emergency, to ensure swift support is provided.
The Committee expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and all relevant authorities in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their tremendous efforts in organising the Hajj season and ensuring a safe and well-coordinated environment for the pilgrims, reflecting the Kingdom’s high level of competence and ongoing advancement in crowd management and excellence in services provided to pilgrims from around the world.
