Manama : The Ministry of Interior announced that the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security has identified and arrested six Asian nationals for filming, publishing, or reposting video clips related to the aftermath of the Iranian aggression, expressing sympathy with and these hostile acts in a manner that undermines security and public order.
The ministry said that the clips were circulated through their social media accounts, contributing to the spread of misleading information and causing fear among citizens and residents.
It confirmed that the necessary legal procedures have been taken and that the suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
The Ministry of Interior also urged everyone to obtain information from official sources and refrain from circulating or reposting unreliable videos or news to avoid legal accountability and to help safeguard the security and safety of the Kingdom.
