Manama: The results of nationwide science talent search examination (Sastra Pratibha Contest 2019) level-1 results were declared by Vijnana Bharati yesterday. The contest was jointly organized by Science India Forum Bahrain, National Science Movement of India, supported by Embassy of India-Bahrain and Indian Space Research Organization.11499 students from 8 schools in Bahrain participated in the first level contest held on 30th May 2019. The 82 students who scored above 80% marks qualified for the second level contest. 156 students scored “A+” Grade and 666 students got “A” Grade. The second level contest will be conducted as a Science Camp on 28th September 2019, with quiz, scientific reasoning, audio-visual, aptitude test, extempore and viva voce rounds.From the above, 16 top scorers will be declared as “Sastra Pratibhas”. The Sastra Pratibhas will have the unique opportunity to visit prominent scientific establishments in India and to interact with senior scientists working there. The entire contests and the visits are free of cost to students.Apart from 16 Sastra Pratibhas, students securing “A+” Grade and “A” grade will be awarded certificates. The Sastra Pratibha Award Ceremony will be held on 6th Dec 2019.
