Manama : In implementation of the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to inaugurate and renovate 32 mosques affiliated with the Sunni and Jaffari Endowments in all governorates of Bahrain, Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa inaugurated Shaikha Fatima bint Ahmed Al Khalifa Mosque in Zallaq.
Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, was present.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid emphasized that places of worship have received royal attention through directives for the preparation, construction, and building of mosques, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He also commended the continuous follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to launch purposeful plans and programmes for developing mosques in all governorates of Bahrain.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid highlighted the importance of mosques in spreading the teachings of Islam and elevating society by promoting virtuality, harmony, and moral values.
The Sunni Endowments Chairman praised the support of HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the development of places of worship, emphasising their role in the stability and advancement of society.
He expressed his appreciation to Her Highness Shaikha Lulwa bint Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa for her contribution to the construction of the mosque.
Shaikha Fatima bint Ahmed Al Khalifa Mosque in the Zallaq area was constructed within a short timeframe to serve the residents of the area as Ramadhan began. The mosque accommodates 300 men and 100 women, along with facilities and parking space.
