Manama : The Supreme Council for Women (SCW), in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, organised an awareness programme about how Bahraini women could utilise housing services. The programme aimed to inform participants about housing laws, the services provided by the Ministry in collaboration with local banks, and to raise awareness among Bahraini women about the housing facilities available to them under the current regulations.
The event was attended by Lulwa bint Saleh Al Awadhi Lulwa bint Saleh Al Awadhi, the Acting Secretary-General of SCW, and approximately 70 women from women’s civil society organisations.
This programme marks the beginning of a series of awareness initiatives planned by the Supreme Council for Women. The workshop focused on how Bahraini women can benefit from the collaborative efforts between the Council and the Ministry. The Council is dedicated to ensuring stability for Bahraini women by providing housing services that guarantee a decent living, reflecting the significant attention given to this matter by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW).
