The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) expressed its appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, on the issuance of the Royal Order (63) of 2023, restructuring the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments Councils.
The council hailed HM the King’s keenness to develop Islamic work in Bahrain, consolidate authentic religious values and traditions, and support Islamic affairs, especially the Islamic Endowments and its subsidiaries, considering it an important part of the kingdom’s history, identity, stability, and values.
On the council’s 13th ordinary session on its fifth course, Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, SCIA President, congratulated the presidents and members of the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments Councils for obtaining the royal trust.
He called them to work diligently to fulfil their duty, and preserve and develop places of worship and endowments following Sharia principles and meeting the aspirations of HM the King.
The council discussed topics on the agenda that included the latest activities of the programs of the Holy Quran Recitation & Teachers Preparation Institute, which provides a series of courses aiming to connect people with the Holy Quran and provide qualitative material in the field of Quranic sciences.
These programs target those with religious positions such as imams, preachers, muezzins, teachers of the Holy Quran, Sharia students and all those interested in learning more of the sciences of the Holy Quran.
The council hailed the Institute’s programmes, expressing its appreciation for the efforts made by the institute’s board of directors, its scientific council and its executive management, wishing the institute’s personnel success.
The council reviewed a follow-up report submitted by the committee of mosque establishment and followed up on the latest developments regarding the projects being implemented for construction and maintenance of several mosques.
The report included the follow-up of five other projects donated by benefactors under the supervision of the council.
The council hailed the efforts of the General Secretariat and the committee of mosque establishment follow-up, expressing appreciation for the role of benefactors in caring for and serving mosques.
