A private school in Bahrain is standing in frontline along with the Bahrain medical staff in the fight against COVID 19. The St Christopher’s school staff are using the DT workshops and machinery to make face visors for medical staff in Bahrain.
Head of Senior School Nick Wilson, Assistant Head Bryon Pearce and Head of Design and Technology Kim Chadwick have been using our four 3D printers to create face-visors to help protect the Bahraini medical workers caring for COVID-19 patients.
The first batch went to BDF Hospital and Awali Cardiac Center and have been put to use immediately by the medical teams there.
Teachers Nick Wilson, Bryon Pearce, Kim Chadwick, John Doherty, Aneil Peswani, Martin Plunkett and David Williams and technician Jibi Varghese, are working in shifts to get the masks produced.
“We are calling all schools, universities or colleges in Bahrain or further afield who have the facilities to make visors! Please get in touch via Facebook if you would like further details. We are sharing our plans. Thank you to RCSI Bahrain for helping to produce parts. Your help is so appreciated” said the school on their official Facebook page.
“The school will continue to make and supply visors to medical teams in Bahrain for the foreseeable future. Thank you for your hard work and generosity. We are so proud of you all”, they added.
