Paris : The Bureau International des Expositions announced that Saudi Arabia won the right to host the Expo 2030 world fair. Saudi Arabia earned 119 votes during the 173rd general assembly meeting of the BIE. Riyadh competed against Busan, South Korea and Rome, Italy.
The expo world fairs, held since 1851, are an international platform that showcase development and achievements and promote international cooperation in economic, trade, arts, culture, science and technology sectors.
