Doha : The State of Qatar announced that Ras Laffan Industrial City was targeted by missile attacks that caused significant material damage, noting that emergency response teams intervened immediately to contain fires resulting from the attack, with no fatalities reported.
QatarEnergy said in a statement that emergency teams began operations immediately following the attack to control the situation and limit the impact of fires at the industrial facility, adding that efforts are ongoing to assess the extent of material damage resulting from the targeting of one of the country’s vital centres.
