Al Wedaei emphasised that achieving this goal requires collective efforts to provide patient care according to the highest safety and quality standards.
He also highlighted that the patient-doctor relationship is built on mutual trust, which Bahraini legislation seeks to protect through a legal and regulatory framework safeguarding patient rights and safety.
Al Wedaei noted that Bahrain’s legal and regulatory measures reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to patient protection and access to safe healthcare.
He underscored that the Public Prosecution prioritises medical error cases, assigning them to the Public Prosecution for Ministries and Public Entities, a specialised division with extensive expertise in this field.
He also referred to judicial directives issued by Dr. Ali bin Fadhl Al Buainain, Attorney General, to ensure the effective and precise handling of medical error cases.
