Manama : Alessandro Saggioro, Full Professor of History of Religions at Sapienza University of Rome, commended the Kingdom of Bahrain and the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence for their efforts in promoting peace and mutual respect.
Professor Saggioro highlighted the establishment of the Day of Peaceful Coexistence as a significant milestone in fostering global harmony. The initiative, which prioritises peace, dignity, and knowledge, represents a tangible step towards building a more inclusive and cooperative society.
He emphasised the relevance of this initiative amid ongoing global challenges, noting that it aligns with United Nations principles and offers a hopeful vision for the future.
The Day of Peaceful Coexistence, he added, complements the theme of the 2025 Jubilee, “Hope,” serving as a call for renewed global unity.
While the Day of Peaceful Coexistence will be celebrated annually, Professor Saggioro underscored the importance of embedding its values into everyday life worldwide.
