Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, deputised Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, to attend a reception hosted by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Bahrain, marking the UAE’s 53rd Union Day.
Upon his arrival, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah was welcomed by Fahad Mohammed bin Kardous Alameri, the UAE Ambassador to Bahrain. He conveyed the congratulations of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, as well as His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court, and the people of the UAE.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised the deep-rooted bonds of brotherhood and shared values between Bahrain and the UAE, underscoring that these ties have been strengthened over time under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He highlighted the historical and enduring relationship built on mutual respect and shared values.
He said, “This year’s Union Day carries profound pride in the advanced levels of integration and solidarity achieved between the two nations, reflecting the enduring depth of their historical relations and their united approach to shared concerns.”
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah also praised the visit of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, during the recent Bahrain-UAE Joint Higher Committee meeting. He noted the positive outcomes of the visit, which reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to expanding their partnership through enhanced collaboration and resource integration. He welcomed the activation of the National Content Programme, aimed at promoting industrial integration and sustainable development in both countries.
He commended the UAE’s achievements across various fields, describing the nation as a global model of development, sustainability, and progress under its leadership. He expressed his wishes for the UAE’s continued prosperity and success, as well as sustained security and stability for both nations under their leadership.
The UAE Ambassador expressed gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for their support in strengthening bilateral relations. He thanked Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for attending the reception on behalf of His Royal Highness, highlighting the deep brotherly ties between the two nations, established by their forefathers and upheld by their leaderships.
The ambassador reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing the strategic partnership between Bahrain and the UAE across all sectors, to achieve mutual benefits and enhance cooperation.
