The release is part of wider efforts to enhance the park’s appeal and align with the Saudi Green Initiative and Vision 2030 goals.
Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Qurban, CEO of the NCW, highlighted that the reintroduction was carried out in collaboration with the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) and the National Water Company (NWC). The aim is to enrich the oasis’s biodiversity, supporting both resident and migratory species. Dr. Qurban emphasised that this effort not only enhances biodiversity but also supports ecotourism and creates economic opportunities for local communities.
