Manama : Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, did an inspection tour of a number of locations in the Northern and Southern Governorates, attended by Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs, alongside municipal council chairpersons, directors-general of municipalities and other officials. The visit included a review of field operations and measures undertaken to drain accumulated rainwater, as well as ongoing efforts to maintain smooth traffic movement and protect the public.

The minister said that rain emergency teams were mobilised from the onset of the rainfall and have been operating around the clock across all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He affirmed that operations are being carried out in accordance with a clear action plan and established priorities to ensure rapid emergency response, safeguard residential areas, and uphold public safety.

He highlighted the continued coordination among relevant entities, including the Ministry of Works, the General Directorate of Civil Defence, the General Directorate of Traffic and municipal councils, underscoring that such cooperation strengthens overall readiness and ensures an effective response to developments arising from the rainfall.
The Ministry has also allocated a dedicated hotline (80008188) for reporting water accumulation on internal roads, as part of its commitment to accelerating response times and addressing reports efficiently.
