Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister, inaugurated the expansion of the Delmon Poultry Company.
The expansion aimed at increasing poultry production and enhancing food security in Bahrain.
Minister Al Mubarak said that the new expansion, covering an area of 10,000 square meters, will boost poultry production by 50%. This marks a significant leap in Bahrain’s poultry production, contributing to food security.
The minister commended the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to foster food security initiatives.
He noted the vital role of national companies in meeting the kingdom’s food needs by increasing production across various agricultural, livestock, and fishery sectors
Al Mubarak added that agricultural and livestock production enhancement projects in the kingdom are supported by the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects, chaired by Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister.
