Manama : Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a telephone call from Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt. During the call, they discussed developments in the regional situation, the serious military escalation witnessed in the region, and the repercussions of the Iranian attacks that targeted the Kingdom of Bahrain and a number of Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Arab states.
Dr. Badr Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council states in addressing the repercussions of these attacks, stressing that Gulf and Arab national security constitutes an essential and indivisible pillar of Egypt’s national security. The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated Egypt’s condemnation of these attacks and its categorical rejection of any justifications or pretexts for violating the sovereignty of states or undermining their security and the capabilities of their peoples, warning of the grave consequences of the ongoing military escalation.
Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani expressed his appreciation to Dr. Badr Abdelatty for his condemnation of the Iranian missile attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC states, and for Egypt’s full solidarity with the Kingdom and the Council’s member states. He also commended Egypt’s supportive stance toward Gulf and Arab national security, as well as its efforts to strengthen Arab solidarity and advance joint Arab action, wishing the Arab Republic of Egypt continued security, stability, and prosperity.
