Kuwait : The Ministry of Defence of the State of Kuwait announced that several facilities affiliated with Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) had been subjected to an intensive and large-scale series of Iranian attacks over consecutive hours.
Colonel Staff Saud Al Atwan, Spokesman of the Ministry of Defence, said in a statement that three power generation and water distillation plants were targeted by unmanned aerial vehicles, resulting in significant material damage.
He added that despite a two-week ceasefire raising hopes for de-escalation and ending hostilities, Iranian attacks on Kuwait continued since early Wednesday, reflecting a clear determination to persist in targeting the country’s security and vital capabilities.
Colonel Staff Al Atwan noted that as of 8:00 a.m, Kuwaiti air defenses had dealt with an intensive wave of hostile drones numbering 28, which targeted several vital facilities and installations across the Country.
He affirmed that the armed forces have immediately assumed their national duty in confronting these threats in accordance with approved military procedures, ensuring a rapid response while coordinating with authorities to preserve national security.
Colonel Staff Al Atwan reassured citizens and residents that the armed forces, along with all concerned authorities, are closely monitoring developments around the clock with high efficiency, vigilance, and responsibility to address any threats and field developments.
