Manama : The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments emphasised the importance of complying with the laws and regulations issued by the High Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The ministry underlined that travel to perform Hajj requires an official permit issued by the relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia. It warned that failure to obtain such a permit may result in strict penalties.
The ministry also urged citizens not to respond to misleading advertisements or unlicensed campaigns that falsely claim to offer permits, reiterating that Hajj travel must only be arranged through approved official channels.
It confirmed that only pilgrims registered with licensed Bahraini Hajj campaigns who have completed registration procedures and received official permits are authorised to travel for Hajj.
