Manama : Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and following the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf announced the completion of the opening, renovation, and rehabilitation of 52 mosques across all governorates. Work is currently underway to finalise procedures for an additional eight mosques.
Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf, affirmed that the construction and care of mosques remain a steadfast priority in Bahrain. He commended the ongoing efforts within the mosque development plan, which has been implemented annually during the Holy Month of Ramadhan over the past five years in line with the orders of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Following the directive to open, renovate, and rehabilitate 60 mosques, the following houses of worship were opened during Ramadhan 1447: Aisha Al Mazal Mosque (Sanad), Abu Anbara Cemetery Mosque (Bilad Al Qadeem), Aisha Amer Al Kooheji Mosque (Janabiya), Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Mosque (Zallaq), Shaikh Ali Mosque (Maqaba), Abdullah Behzad Mosque (Hamad Town), Shaikh Ismail Mosque (Karana), Iqbal bint Othman Abdullah Al Jeeran Mosque (Hamad Town), Al Rasool Al Azam Mosque (Bani Jamra), Shaikh Mohammed Metwally Al Shaarawy Mosque (Hajiyat), Shaikh Mohammed (Al Raml) Mosque (Bani Jamra).
Additionally, foundation stones were laid for Abdullah bin Yousif Al Khater Mosque (A’ali), Kumail bin Ziyad Mosque and Al Buraq Mosque (East Sitra), and Fatima bint Ibrahim Al Musalmani Mosque (Swayfiya).
The Ministry also confirmed the completion of renovation and maintenance works for the following mosques: Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Ghatam Mosque (Riffa), South Isa Town Mosque (Isa Town), Fatima bint Al Rasool Mosque (Hamad Town), Hessa Al Bakr Mosque (Muharraq), Yousif bin Abdullah Ameen Mosque (Arad), Bin Dhaif Mosque (Karzakan), Hamad bin Abdullah Al Ghatam Mosque (Riffa), Shaikh Mohammed (Abu Qubba) Mosque (Al Maqsha), Asma Zat Al Nitaqain Mosque (Hamad Town), Abu Safi Mosque (Shahrakkan), Al Qamra Mosque (Muharraq), Abu Al Hamam Mosque (Karzakan), Sawda bin Zam’a Mosque (Hamad Town), Imam Al Hassan Mosque (Al Hajar), Al Farooq Mosque (Manama), Al Qala’a Mosque (Al Qala’a), Al Huwaila Mosque (Hidd), Sayyid Abdullah Abu Khufair Mosque (Bilad Al Qadeem), Yaqoob Bashmi Mosque (Manama), Al Zahra Mosque (Hamad Town), Abdullah bin Masood Mosque (Gudaibiya), Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Muhaimeed Mosque (Muharraq), Al Abd Al Salih (Western) Mosque (Hamala), Shaikh Salman Al Khalifa Mosque (Riffa), Al Ghadeer Mosque (Salmabad Housing), South Askar Mosque (Askar), Khalifa Al Daboos Mosque (Umm Al Hassam), South (Shaikh Ibrahim) Mosque (Tashan), Al Hassan bin Ali Mosque (Riffa), Ali Abdulkarim Abel Mosque (Karbabad), Abdulrahman bin Awf Mosque (Hamad Town), Imam Al Rida Mosque (Tashan), Khalifa bin Mousa Mosque (Muharraq), Al Khawaja Mosque (Manama), Al Tawheed Mosque (Umm Al Hassam), Sayyid Adnan (Middle) Mosque (Sitra), and Abdullah bin Darwish Fakhro Mosque (Riffa).
Furthermore, work is currently underway to finalise the opening, renovation, and maintenance of the following mosques: Asma Abdulraheem Zainal Al Bastaki Jami’ (Hajiyat), Al Tuwainiya Mosque (Sitra), Imam Al Redha Mosque (Salman City), Nasser Al Haq Mosque (Arad), Shaikh Nasser Mosque (Al Koura), Al Darawish Mosque (Jidhafs), Bahman Mosque (Hamad Town), and Shaikh Sahlan Mosque (Al Eker).
