Manama : Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, has expressed pride in the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support all national efforts to make the Bahraini citizen the focus of development.
Al Musallam stressed the importance of continuing consultations between the two authorities to establish a comprehensive vision, implement qualitative initiatives, and make the citizens the first choice for employment, while also supporting the private sector to boost Bahrainis’ employment. Al Musallam made the statement during a joint meeting between the executive and legislative authorities devoted to discussing projects and initiatives aimed at prioritising the citizens for national development, in line with the royal vision.
The meeting was co-chaired by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Finance and National Economy Minister, and Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council. Ministers, Council of Representatives’ Bureau members, Shura Council members, Financial and Economic Affairs Committee heads, Labour Market Regulatory Authority CEO, and other officials and lawmakers also attended.
The meeting stressed the importance of introducing new programmes and initiatives that meet present and future needs of the citizens, contributing to achieving the citizens’ aspirations for greater development. The Minister of Finance stated that efforts are being made to collaborate with the legislative authority to develop more qualitative initiatives that support the citizens, as they are the focus of development and a top priority.
The aim is to create more opportunities for the citizens to empower them, while also developing procedures and mechanisms to secure a supportive environment for development, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, with the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The government is committed to enhancing the nation’s achievements and promoting development sectors, in collaboration with the legislative authority to create a sustainable future for the citizens, fostering a spirit of unity within Team Bahrain, he added.
The Shura First Deputy praised the government’s continuous coordination and joint efforts, and their commitment to implementing the directives of HM King Hamad and HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Fakhro emphasised the need for a comprehensive approach to develop solutions that prioritise the citizens, support economic growth, and implement initiatives that recognise the citizens as the foundation for national achievements.
He stressed the importance of developing an integrated solution to address the Bahraini situation, stating that a comprehensive approach is the best option.
The Shura Council’s First Deputy Chairman praised the ongoing legislature-executive consultations and dialogue, stressing the legislative authority’s willingness to present ideas and proposals that align with the government’s development and prosperity strategies.
