Manama : Japanese business delegation recently concluded a visit to the Kingdom in response to the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority’s (BTEA) invitation to learn more about Bahrain’s tourism competencies and explore investment opportunities in the hospitality sector.
The Japanese delegation held talks with officials from BTEA, EDB, Tamkeen, GFH Financial Group, and Diyar Almuharraq, and was briefed on the flexible and attractive investment environment and friendly ecosystem in the Kingdom, with its easy-to-start businesses and diverse investments in the local market.
Dr. Nasser Qaedi, Chief Executive Officer of BTEA said, “We are delighted with the COLOWIDE Co., Ltd. delegation visit, the leading Japanese restaurant group. We were eager to make their visit a complete success by demonstrating what Bahrain has to offer in terms of a clear tourism vision and an integrated tourism strategy for 2022-2026 that will shift the sector into brighter horizons of growth and prosperity while also creating more rewarded career opportunities in this promising sector.”
Kohei Nojiri, President and Executive Director of COLOWIDE Co., Ltd. Said, “It was a pleasure meeting Dr. Nasser Qaedi, CEO of the BTEA, and Bahraini officials in different industries. We were thrilled by the idea of expanding and investing in the Kingdom. Having this kind of support is crucial to our expansion overseas, and we look forward to bringing this unique and authentic Japanese dining experience to Bahrain in the coming future.”
The Japanese delegation’s visit to Bahrain is a continuation of the successful official visit of the Bahraini economic delegation to Tokyo last May, headed by Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Industry, and Commerce Minister, accompanied by Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development, during which BTEA CEO held multiple meetings and talks with senior Japanese officials in the tourism, hospitality, entertainment, trade, and industry sectors to discuss ways to enhance cooperation.
