Manama : The Executive Organising Committee for the International School Games (ISF) Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 held a meeting with the ISF Management Committee to discuss hosting the largest school games tournament in history, in terms of the number of participants.
Ishaq affirmed that it took tremendous efforts to succeed in making Bahrain the host of the (ISF) Gymnasiade 2024, during October next year, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
During the meeting, he gave a detailed presentation on the preparations carried out by the executive committee, highlighting the Kingdom’s readiness of sport facilities and its commitment with the ISF’s plan.
Ishaq also briefed the ISF Management Committee on the Kingdom’s promotional plan to attract the largest number of participants from around the world, which covered technical and operational aspects and the preliminary and logistical arrangements.
The ISF Management Committee praised the promotional plan and the hosting preparations by the Executive Organising Committee, especially the readiness of the sports facilities, in addition to the Kingdom’s readiness to host the largest games in the history of school sports.
The Gymnasiade will last for 10 consecutive days during October 2024, with 5,000 students participating from over 80 different countries.
Participants will compete in 25 different sports, across 14 sites that have been allocated for the tournament.
