Manama: The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) honoured the outstanding academic achievements
of its Middle Section students for the academic year 2024-2025 during a grand award
ceremony held at the Jashanmal Auditorium on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
The event was a proud celebration of hard work, dedication, and scholastic excellence demonstrated by the students throughout the year.

The programme commenced with the national anthems of Bahrain and India, followed by a
reading from the Holy Quran. The traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp was performed
by Chief Guest, Ministry of Labour Asst. Undersecretary Ahmed Al Hyaki, along with ISB
Hon.Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, setting a solemn and celebratory tone for the
occasion. The occasion was graced by Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon.Asst.Secretary &
Hon. Member-Academics Ranjini Mohan, Hon.Member -Projects &Maintenance Mithun

Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil, in his presidential address, emphasized that the award
ceremony was a reflection of the school’s academic strength and the determination of its
students. “This event is not just a ceremony, it is a tribute to the perseverance, discipline, and
resilience of our students. We are also grateful to the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of
Education for their continuous support,” he said.

Earlier Principal VR Palaniswamy welcomed the gathering, congratulating the students for
their remarkable performance in academics. He also expressed deep appreciation for the
teachers, whose unwavering guidance played a pivotal role in helping students achieve their
goals. The highlight of the event was the presentation of A1 Awards to high-achieving
students from classes 6 to 8. These awards recognized students who consistently performed at
the top of their class, showing excellence across a range of subjects. Their achievements
reflect not only individual brilliance but also the school’s commitment to academic
excellence.

Adding a cultural flair to the event, students from classes 6 to 8 presented a theme
dance based on the five elements of the universe, symbolizing balance and harmony. A group
song titled “The Welfare of the World is Our Sacred Duty” was also performed, echoing the
values of service and global citizenship.

The ceremony was anchored by student emcees Aradhya Sandeep, Blesson Asir, Aadinath
Anish, and Faiha Aysha. Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian delivered the vote of thanks,
appreciating everyone who contributed to making the ceremony a grand success. The evening
concluded with a sense of pride and inspiration, as students were encouraged to continue
striving for excellence in all their future endeavours.
