Manama: Lulu Hypermarket at Galleria Mall announced the launch of “INDIA UTSAV” festival as part of celebrations of the 76th Indian Independence Day.
The festival was opened by Piyush Srivastava, the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain in presence of Lulu Hypermarket management, guests, and shoppers. The opening ceremony also included patriotic songs, dance performances, colourful attire and display of Indian Food, fruits and vegetables.
The “India Utsav” festival which commemorates the 76th Indian Independence Day is an annual immersive shopping festival. The celebrations of the Indian Independence Day extend promotions on a wide range of Indian food products, agricultural products, trendy fashion as well as a curated collection of designer wear that is perfect for festivals and weddings.
The “India Utsav” will underscore the three Cs that energise LuLu’s India perspective: commerce, cuisine (and food security) and culture. The opening ceremony included courses dances by Indian children representing different states of India. The festival will run till August 24 in all Lulu outlets and in online portal (E-com) as well also it features food promotions of India’s best regional cuisine, and deals on all Indian products and fashionwear.
At the event, the ambassador extended greetings to all the Indian community members residing in Bahrain and wished the people of Bahrain success. “We at Lulu are proud to present India Utsav to our shoppers,” Lulu Hypermarkets regional director Mohammed Kaleem said. “On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day, I am pleased to underscore the Group’s continued commitment to stronger economic ties between India and Bahrain.”
