Bahrain : The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is one of the biggest events in world sport. It is the 3rd most-viewed sports event in the world after the Summer Olympics and the FIFA World Cup. The viewership of the event is expected to be over 7 billion, as the T20 world cup payed last year saw similar figures.
The sport has massive appeal across the world being passionately played in the UK, Australia, South Africa, Indian Sub Continent as well as the Middle East with UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar all having accomplished leagues.
The trophy tour that precedes the event has generated a lot of excitement in cricket fans across the globe and certainly in Bahrain as for the first time the trophy will delight the cricket fans on the island. The trophy’s stop-over in the Kingdom of Bahrain will give the sport on the island a place on the world stage.
As the Kingdom gets ready to welcome the trophy on the 12th and 13th of August we can expect to see Bahrain’s tourism see a spectacular high as the trophy will be photographed against the magnificent cultural and natural backdrops of our beautiful island and have exposure to 75 million plus viewership of the ICC social media channels.

12TH AUGUST 2023
4PM – 7PM: MASSIVE ROADSHOW
A massive roadshow starting from Juffair (Al Najma Club – BCF Office), passing through Bab al Bahrain and Bahrain Bay, all the way to Bahrain International Circuit with a convoy of bikers, cricket players, and enthusiastic fans driving their cars.
7PM – 9PM: RALLY AT THE BAHRAIN INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT
A spectacular rally as the trophy takes a lap around the famous F1 circuit and there will be an opportunity for cricket lovers to take a picture with the trophy against the iconic Sakhir Tower at the BIC.
13TH AUGUST 2023
10 AM – 4 PM: TROPHY PHOTOGRAPHY
The trophy will be captured in stunning pictures at some of Bahrain’s most historic monuments and landmarks, including the iconic Tree of Life, the ancient Bahrain Fort, the magnificent World Trade Center – Bahrain Bay, among others
5PM – 7 PM: DANA MALL TROPHY DISPLAY
Dana Mall plays host to the trophy where there will be many engaging fan activities. This fantastic event will give fans an excellent opportunity to get close to the prestigious trophy.
