Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today visited the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the National Center for Civil Emergency Management.
The visit formed part of His Royal Highness’s continued oversight of developments across the Kingdom in response to hostile Iranian aggression. The visit served to assess the level of preparedness and operational readiness on the ground, in line with the unwavering approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in upholding the Kingdom’s security and safeguarding the welfare of its citizens and residents.

His Royal Highness was received by HE General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.
During the visit, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was briefed on the measures in place to address issues as a result of the hostile attacks, as well as the level of coordination across relevant authorities to ensure swift response and the protection of lives and property.

His Royal Highness expressed his appreciation to His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla for his continued efforts in strengthening the readiness of the security apparatus and its role in preserving and safeguarding the Kingdom’s security.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude to all members of the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the National Center for Civil Emergency Management, commending their dedicated and tireless efforts, as well as their professionalism in tackling various cases while upholding the highest standards and best practices.
His Royal Highness affirmed that the safety of citizens and residents remains a top priority, reiterating the importance of continuing to enhance readiness and further strengthen the efficiency of field response, reflecting the relentless efforts of the safety and civil protection sector.

For his part, HE the Minister of Interior expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness for the visit, which is testament to His Royal Highness’s firm commitment and direct engagement on national efforts, affirming the Ministry’s ongoing measures to safeguard the security and safety of all.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was also briefed on national emergency readiness, joint government coordination, the sustainability of vital services and infrastructure, ensuring food and water security, the efficiency of the energy and electricity sector, the resilience of communications and early warning systems, and other related matters.
His Royal Highness was accompanied by HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.
Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police, was also in attendance.
