Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, issued Edict (62) of 2024, amending Article (I) of Edict (12) of 2023 regarding the restructuring of the High Committee for the Care of People with Disabilities, based on a nomination of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), a proposal from the Minister of Social Development, and the approval of the Cabinet.
Article (I)
A new clause numbered (2) is added to the first paragraph of Article (I) of Edict (12) of 2023, with subsequent clauses renumbered accordingly. The new clause reads as follows:
Supreme Council for Women representative Afnan Rashid Al Zayani.
Article (II)
The second paragraph of Article (I) of Edict (12) of 2023 is replaced with the following text:
“The entity specified in clause (5) of the preceding paragraph shall determine its representative on the committee, provided the representative holds a grade no lower than Director.”
Article (III)
The membership of the representative of the SCW specified in Article (I) of this edict shall extend until the end of the term for committee members, as determined by Edict (12) of 2023.
Article (IV)
The Minister of Social Development and relevant authorities shall implement the provisions of this edict, which takes effect from the date of its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
