Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Edict (1) of 2025, naming the competent administrative authority and minister for private entities working in the youth sector and defining their roles, based on a proposal by the Minister of Youth Affairs and following the approval of the Cabinet.
Article (I)
The Ministry of Youth Affairs is designated as the competent administrative authority, and the Minister of Youth Affairs as the competent minister, as stipulated in the Law on Associations, Social and Cultural Clubs, Special Committees Working in the Field of Youth and Sports, and Private Foundations, issued by Decree-Law (21) of 1989, concerning private entities operating in the youth sector.
The Ministry and the Minister of Youth Affairs shall exercise the powers outlined in the law.
Article (II)
Edict (22) of 2019 regarding naming the competent administrative authority and minister for private entities working in the youth, sports, and sporting activities sector, as well as any provision conflicting with this decision, is hereby repealed.
Article (III)
The Minister of Youth Affairs shall implement the provisions of this decision, which takes effect the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
