Manama : Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, said the ministry’s win of the Best Integrated E-Service award at the 2025 e-Government Excellence Awards reflects its efforts in implementing a comprehensive digital transformation plan and linking electronically with various authorities involved in housing services for citizens, in line with the government performance and digital transformation objectives of the 2023–2026 programme.
Minister Al Rumaihi highlighted that the award reflects the ministry’s success in creating an integrated digital system connected with 11 government and private entities, improving the quality and efficiency of services, increasing data accuracy, reducing reliance on paper documents, enhancing transparency in housing decisions, and simplifying the user journey through unified, easy-to-use digital services.
She added that the ministry adopted the best technical and security standards to ensure safe, seamless integration with government databases, boosting the reliability of information and allowing citizens to access e-services securely and easily.

The Housing Minister noted that the ministry has fully redesigned the citizen journey, enabling users to complete transactions without visiting in person, based on feedback collected through various communication channels. The system allows applications to be submitted online, tracks transaction status with instant notifications, provides remote consultations and support via the customer service centre and virtual assistant, and offers the ability to rate services after completion, supporting continuous improvement.
Minister Al Rumihi emphasised that the electronic system represents a major shift in the user experience, integrating services, simplifying procedures, and improving the digital journey to provide a comprehensive experience that meets citizens’ expectations and supports the government’s digital transformation goals.
She noted that the achievement motivates the ministry team to continue innovating advanced digital services, aligning with government efforts to digitise services and transactions, enhance efficiency and productivity, and reduce time and procedures for users.
This achievement follows a series of the ministry’s digital successes, including winning the 2025 Bahrain Digital Content Award for the “Virtual Customer Service Center”, the 2023 e-Government Excellence Award for Best Website, and the Platinum Shield for the remote Customer Service Centre platform in recognition of its efforts to advance digital services.
