His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Palace today Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, V. Muraleedharan, on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Indian minister conveyed to HM the King the greetings of Indian President, Ram Nath Kovind, and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and their best wishes of further growth and prosperity to the Bahraini people.
HM the King asked the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs to convey his greetings to the Indian President and Prime Minister, and his best wishes of continuous development to the Indian people. He praised bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields, describing them as deep-rooted and based on solid foundations of common history and mutual interests.
HM the King discussed with the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs regional and international issues of common concern. His Majesty underlined the importance of international support to development and stability in Afghanistan as well as continuity to provide the needed humanitarian relief aid while taking into consideration the country’s faiths and values to ensure peace and stability in the region and the whole world.
HM the King commended the efforts of the Indian community in Bahrain’s development march, stressing that they are respected by the Bahraini people.
For his part, the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs expressed happiness about visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain, commending the role of HM the King in bolstering relations and cooperation between the two friendly countries.
