Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received today, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at Al Gudaibiya Palace, Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, on the occasion of her visit to the Kingdom.
HM the King welcomed the Italian Prime Minister and her accompanying delegation, expressing his appreciation for her visit, which marks an important step in further strengthening the Bahraini-Italian partnership.
Her Excellency the Prime Minister expressed her appreciation to HM the King for the warm hospitality she received during her visit to the Kingdom.
The two sides reviewed the development of the strategic relations and discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation, particularly in economic, trade, investment, and sustainable development sectors to serve mutual interests.
HM the King emphasised Bahrain’s interest in further strengthening ties with Italy and enhancing them to further achieve prosperity and benefit for their people.
HM the King also commended Italy’s efforts and initiatives to reinforce international peace and stability and address global issues that foster cooperation and peace among nations.
During the meeting, HM the King and HE the Italian Prime Minister exchanged views on regional and international developments, including the latest updates in the Middle East, and topics of mutual interest.
The two sides underscored the importance of dialogue, diplomatic solutions, and cooperation in addressing crises and promoting global peace and stability.
HM the King further highlighted Bahrain’s historical and cultural role in building bridges of communication, cooperation, and dialogue among various civilisations, cultures, and religions, promoting values of tolerance and coexistence for the benefit of humanity.
HE the Italian Prime Minister commended His Majesty’s efforts to strengthen the historical relations between the two countries and advance cooperation across various sectors.
HM the King hosted a luncheon in honour of HE the Italian Prime Minister and her accompanying delegation.
