Cairo : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived today in Cairo, the Arab Republic of Egypt, on an official visit to participate in the Emergency Arab Summit, which will convene on Tuesday.
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, HM the King was received by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population of Egypt, and Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League.
HM the King expressed appreciation to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of Egypt for hosting the Emergency Arab Summit.

HM the King emphasised that the summit is being held at a highly critical and sensitive time, requiring continued consultation and coordination among Arab leaders to address challenges threatening Arab national security and the interests of their nations and peoples.
HM King Hamad underscored that the summit’s convening in Egypt highlights its role and efforts to strengthen Arab solidarity and unity.
HM the King reiterated the firm Arab stance on safeguarding national security, supporting just Arab causes, particularly the Palestinian cause, and defending the Palestinian people’s rights to freedom, justice, dignity, and the establishment of their fully sovereign independent state.

HM King Hamad also underscored the importance of advancing efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace for the benefit of all peoples in the region.
HM King Hamad wished the Arab nation’s success in their endeavours to enhance the well-being of their people and fulfill their aspirations for peace, security, stability, and development.
Earlier today, HM King Hamad, the current President of the Arab Summit, departed to Egypt to lead Bahrain’s delegation at the Emergency Arab Summit in Cairo, which will discuss developments related to the Palestinian cause.
