Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Palace Professor Nazir Ayad, Egypt’s Grand Mufti, and Professor Abbas Shuman, Secretary-General of Al Azhar Council Senior Scholars. They are on a visit to Bahrain for the High Committee meeting preparing for the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference, set to be hosted in Bahrain early next year.
HM the King welcomed the Grand Mufti and accompanying delegation, wishing participants success in achieving the conference’s goals, which aim to serve the Islamic nation’s causes and promote solidarity and unity in facing current challenges.
His Majesty reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to fostering Islamic cooperation and coordination with other Muslim nations to fulfil shared aspirations for progress. His Majesty the King highlighted Bahrain’s dedication to promoting mutual respect and coexistence across religions and cultures.
HM the King commended Egypt’s Dar al Ifta for its role in advocating Islamic values of moderation and tolerance.
The Grand Mufti thanked His Majesty the King for hosting the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference and commended Bahrain’s exemplary efforts in organising and preparing for the event, as well as providing all necessary resources to ensure its success. He highlighted Bahrain’s pivotal role under HM the King’s leadership in advancing the causes of Islam and Muslims, promoting the values of tolerance and moderation, and leading pioneering initiatives that strengthen dialogue, human fraternity, and cooperation between nations.
