Manama : Her Highness Shaikha Sheema bint Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Head of Humanitarian Voluntary Initiatives at the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), chaired the first meeting of the Humanitarian Voluntary Initiatives at the Foundation.

HH Shaikha Sheema bint Nasser expressed her pride and appreciation for the blessing of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the decision issued by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, appointing her to the position. She emphasised that this royal trust represents strong motivation to continue developing humanitarian and voluntary work and enhances its sustainable community impact.
HH Shaikha Sheema bint Nasser said the next phase will advance through unified teamwork and the launch of initiatives to strengthen volunteer work as a key pillar supporting citizens and reinforcing values of giving and national responsibility.

The meeting approved several Ramadan initiatives, including hospital visits to support patients, programmes for senior citizens through periodic visits, and community events for school students aimed at strengthening national identity and promoting community participation among younger generations.
It also reviewed future directions for voluntary initiatives and mechanisms to further develop programmes in line with the RHF’s humanitarian mission, alongside proposals for new initiatives targeting various community segments and supporting sustainable humanitarian work.
