Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued directives to deliver urgent relief aid to Morocco following the deadly earthquake that struck several regions and provinces, leaving hundreds of casualties, and causing huge damage to infrastructure and property.
HM the King directed the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, to provide the necessary aid to the earthquake victims and support Morocco during this painful calamity.
On the occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser extended sincere thanks, appreciation and gratitude to HM the King, RHF Honorary President, for HM’s constant humanitarian initiatives to extend relief aid to the afflicted, and support the needy across the world, as part of the kingdom’s efforts to consolidate global solidarity, based on the fraternal and humanitarian ties binding all peoples of the world.
HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the royal humanitarian stances and directives reflect the depth of Bahraini-Moroccan relations.
HH Shaikh Nasser commended the great support accorded by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the RHF, affirming the Foundation’s readiness to implement HM the King’s directives.
His Highness emphasised Bahrain’s solidarity with Morocco to help alleviate the suffering of those affected by the quake, based on human duty required by the Islamic religion, the authentic Arab traditions and the solid Bahraini-Moroccan relations. He prayed to Allah the Almighty to protect Morocco’s leadership and people, and rest the souls of the victims in eternal peace, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed, RHF Secretary-General, indicated that based on HM the King’s directives and HH Shaikh Nasser’s instructions, the RHF has made the necessary arrangements to provide urgent aid in cooperation with the relevant ministries and authorities to provide the necessary relief aid to Morocco as quickly as possible.
He affirmed that the RHF, led by HH Shaikh Nasser, will spare no effort in supporting those affected by the earthquake in order to alleviate the suffering of the victims’ families.
