Manama : His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), received officials from Marbella Football Centre (MFC) in a meeting attended by Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayed, SCYS Secretary-General.
Zayed Rashid Al Zayani, Chairman of Al Zayani Investments, and Rashid Zayed Al Zayani, CEO of Al Zayani Investments, along with Andres Roldán, Marbella Football Centre’s CEO and Christoffer Komen, Director of Tours and Friendlies at Manchester United, were present.
During the meeting, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad was briefed on potential collaboration with MFC in sports tourism. MFC outlined its expertise in establishing large scale sports centres and world class facilities designed to attract athletes and teams from around the globe for pre-season training. The facilities offer specialised spaces for training, recovery, and healthcare, providing a conducive environment suited to professional athletes’ needs.
Under HH Shaikh Nasser’s leadership, the SCYS aims to explore distinguished international experiences with the aim of advancing sports tourism in Bahrain and strengthening ties with global companies, positioning Bahrain as a prime destination for high performance training and sports tourism in the Middle East.
