Manama : His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, underscored the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of orphans, and the role of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), established in 2001, in implementation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad noted that continued royal support has enabled RHF to expand its reach, lead national efforts in charitable and humanitarian work, and deliver long-term care that empowers orphans to actively contribute to Bahrain’s development.
Marking Arab Orphans Day, observed on the first Friday of April, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasised RHF’s commitment to youth empowerment, in line with His Majesty’s directives. He noted the Foundation’s focus on supporting high-achieving beneficiaries and enabling them to play a constructive role in the Kingdom’s national development.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad commended the support of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for its continuous backing of RHF programmes. He also commended the efforts of government ministries and institutions in facilitating the Foundation’s work and ensuring the wellbeing of its beneficiaries.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad thanked civil society institutions and individuals for their ongoing engagement with RHF, noting that their support reinforces community solidarity and social cohesion.
On his part, Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Secretary General of RHF, expressed appreciation for the continuous support of HM the King, which has enabled the Foundation to fulfil its role in caring for orphans and strengthening their position in society. He also commended the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and highlighted the efforts of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, whose ongoing commitment has advanced the Foundation’s mission and enhanced the quality of its work across multiple sectors.
Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa emphasised that RHF continues to implement His Majesty’s directives through focused programmes that promote the development and wellbeing of orphans. He added that the Foundation will maintain its close coordination with government entities to enhance access to education, healthcare, and essential services, while working to ensure a dignified life for orphans and widows.
Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa noted that the Foundation is working to implement the vision outlined by HM the King during the holy month of Ramadhan through dedicated initiatives that support orphans and contribute to their personal development.
