The representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa inaugurated “Al-Sariya” popular quiz show through a telephone call made to launch the programme.
The daily programme, sponsored by Bahrain Telecommunication Company (Batelco), is broadcast on Bahrain TV at 10:30 pm from the Heritage Village in Ras Hayan. It is held in partnership between SCYS’ Popular Heritage Sport Committee and the Information Ministry.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa conveyed over the phone call with which he launched the programme the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, stressing HM’s keenness on following the TV quiz show. He congratulated the officials in charge of the programme on the holy month of Ramadan, pointing out the importance of the programme in highlighting the kingdom’s identity and history.
