Budapest : His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Leader of the Royal Endurance Team, observed part of the veterinary inspection for the Hungary International Endurance Race, which will commence tomorrow, Saturday, covering a distance of 120 kilometres.
His Highness also attended an equestrian show held in the race village. Present at the show were Orshidia Maihok, President of the Hungarian Equestrian Federation, and the Chairman of the Endurance Committee of the Hungarian Equestrian Federation.
On this occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa emphasised that the Hungary International Race is an important milestone ahead of participating in the World Championship, which will be held next September in France. His Highness noted that the Royal Team aims to maximise the benefits from this participation and assess the technical readiness of the riders.
His Highness explained that the presence of the Royal Endurance Team in the Hungary Race is of great significance for continuing to enhance the status of the Kingdom of Bahrain in equestrian sports in general and endurance sports in particular on the European stage, following the positive outcomes of past participations. His Highness wished the team riders success in their participation on Saturday.
Furthermore, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa will participate in the 120-kilometre race tomorrow, Saturday, marking the final preparation phase for the World Championship in September.
