Paris : His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and captain of the Royal Endurance Team, attended the veterinary examination procedures for the World Endurance Championship.
His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), and His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the Vice-President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) High Committee and Member of SCYS, were present.
The inspection was held at the championship village in Monpazier, France, in preparation for the 160 km race set to take place on Saturday, with the participation of 145 jockeys from 39 countries.
HH Shaikh Nasser led the final training session for the team before the championship, where he instructed the jockeys to adhere to the technical plan.
On this occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser highlighted the importance of the World Endurance Championship for the team, noting that it demonstrates their advanced capabilities and outstanding performance.
HH Shaikh Nasser emphasised that the participation of skilled jockeys with extensive experience positions the team well to achieve positive results.
HH Shaikh Nasser also highlighted that the World Championship always witnesses fierce competition among jockeys for the top positions. HH expressed his best wishes for the Royal Endurance Team to secure top ranks and retain the title.
HH Shaikh Nasser will lead the Royal Endurance Team in the championship with the horse Everest la Majorie, alongside four jockeys, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa with the horse Fizz Fageole; Jaafar Mirza with the horse Bolt de Venelles; Othman Al Awadhi with the horse Ermine Dartagnan; and Salman Isa with the horse Elmer de Bozouls.
The reserve jockeys will be Sarhan Hameed with the horse Be Goode and Hamad Isa with the horse Deese la Majorie.
