Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa deputised His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, to attend the final match of the 2024–2025 HM the King’s Football Cup.
The final match, held at Khalifa Sports City Stadium, concluded with Al Khalidiya Club winning the title after defeating Sitra Club 3–2. The ceremony was attended by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad said he was honoured to attend on behalf of His Majesty the King. His Highness noted that the tournament is a significant national sporting event that reflects the continued royal support for Bahraini sports, which has led to many achievements across various levels.
His Highness congratulated the Chairman, board members, affiliates, and fans of Al Khalidiya Club on winning the 2024–2025 HM the King’s Football Cup. HH commended the team’s strong performance throughout the tournament, especially in the final match, where the players demonstrated great spirit and notable technical skill to secure the title.
His Highness also thanked the Bahrain Football Association, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, for its successful organisation of the tournament and the final match. His Highness commended the high level of preparation and the strong turnout of spectators.
